Over the years, I have been occasionally asked about distance learning options and about certification. My book and video guides were created for distance home learning but I did not feel that I can certify people based on the fact that they have the book and video.
In my live courses I can make sure that the students understand the diagnosis, line and point locations, and the pressure techniques but how can I certify anyone without seeing him/her finding the points and pressing them? 1-2 years ago a Canadian Osteopath insisted that I find a way to check how he is using the information in the book and video and how to certify him.

I said, OK, let’s give it a try. Please learn routine 9 (Neck Pain when turning the head) and send me a video in which you explain the diagnosis and how you locate and press the points.
In the video that he sent it was very clear that he understood most of the point locations and how to press them correctly. I gave him corrections as to the precise location of points 5 and 8 that were not perfect and asked him to send a video of these points only.
I then asked him to send routines 7 and routine 8 and later to the rest of the 15 most important routines in the collection of 60 routines.
He demonstrated very well how using mobile phone videos allows me to see how well a student finds the points, how well he/she presses them and how I can personally supervise one’s learning progress.
He is my first home distance learning certified student.
